While pets are not permitted on the beach, the nearby boat launch is a great place for dogs to cool off. Kona looked forward to swimming there every day during our stay. The trail to Woodruff Pond begins right inside the campground and offers an easy hike to a secluded pond known for its good fishing. Countless lakes, rivers, hiking trails, scenic drives, and historic attractions are all within easy reach.
