Kathryn Abbey Hanna Park is one of Jacksonville’s best-value campgrounds, offering 300 wooded sites, several cabins, and full hookups for RVs at just $30/night.
The campground sits inside a huge forested park with 1.5 miles of private beach access, a lake for fishing, kayaking, and boat rentals, and tons of family-friendly activities including a zipline, splash park, and multiple picnic pavilions near both the beach and the lake.
Sites are dirt but well-spaced, and the park’s website does a great job showing how private or level each site is before you book. The campground has several shower houses, a laundry, plenty of dumpsters, a camp store, and strong Wi-Fi and cell service (you can even pick up local TV channels over the antenna). There are 13 miles of bike trails, 4 miles of hiking, lots of room to walk, and rentals available for kayaks, canoes, beach cruisers, and trail bikes. Security is solid with a guard shack at the entrance and a coded gate into the campground.
Tent campers are welcome too, and there are hosts spread throughout the park plus nature programs for kids. Operated by the City of Jacksonville, it’s a fun, family-friendly destination—and at $30/night for full hookups, the value is hard to beat. I’ve stayed here multiple times and always enjoy it.
