Earl G. Williamson Park – Caddo Lake, Oil City, LA

A true hidden gem right on the shoreline of Caddo Lake. Spacious RV sites with water/sewer, a dump station, tent sites, and a boat launch—plus room to park a trailer at most sites. Only $12/night, which feels like a steal. Kona loved being able to swim right outside the door, and there’s plenty of space for walking along the lake.

Beautiful sunsets, big shady sites (most with a concrete pad and picnic table), and easy fishing from the bank. A few spots show mud and ruts after heavy rain, but the location and serenity more than make up for it. Family-friendly with a playground, well-marked entrance, and peaceful lake views. We only stayed one night, but it deserved more time.
